Nestled in the heart of the stunning Chiltern Hills, Daws Hill Vineyard spans three picturesque acres and is home to around 5,000 carefully nurtured vines. This boutique vineyard is dedicated to producing high-quality English sparkling wine using traditional methods and classic Champagne grape varieties—Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay.

Join us for a captivating vineyard tour and tasting experience. You’ll embark on a journey from vine to bottle, exploring the traditional techniques that define our winemaking process. Learn how each bottle is crafted with care, and then enjoy a guided tasting of our elegant sparkling wines led by one of our knowledgeable and passionate tour guides.

🌿 Let’s Get Snippy!

Winter might be chilly, but it’s when the real vineyard magic happens. Join us for one of the most important (and most satisfying) jobs of the year — winter pruning!

Our vines can shoot up to 7 metres in a season — they love to run wild. Using the Guyot system, we prune each one back to just two canes, giving them the perfect shape for next year’s growth. It’s a hands-on job, a bit of a workout, and the best way to get up close and personal with the vineyard.

You’ll learn the ropes, make some new friends, and help set the stage for another sparkling vintage. ✨

🧤 What to Bring

Dress for the weather and bring:

  • A good pair of secateurs (if you have them)

  • Gloves

  • Waterproof boots/shoes and layers

  • A sense of humour and a love of fresh air!

Don’t worry if you’re short on kit — we’ve got spares for everyone.

  • A hearty lunch to keep you fuelled

  • Tea, coffee, and a glass of our sparkling wine

  • Plenty of fresh country air

  • And as a thank-you — 10% off all purchases for a whole year!

  • The session is free, but spaces are limited — please book ahead.

  • If the weather looks grim, we’ll email you 24 hours before to confirm.

  • Expect dewy feet, laughter, and maybe a few rosy cheeks from the cold!
