VINEYARD TOUR

Explore the outstanding natural beauty of Daws Hill Vineyard in the heart of the Chilterns. The vineyard now has around 5000 vines and extends over three acres. The small team uses traditional methods to produce English quality sparkling wine, traditional Champagne varities, Pinot noir, Pinot meunier and Chardonnay.

Here you will discover the journey from vine to bottle with this fascinating tour and tasting experience. After seeing and learning about the traditional methods used and processes involved in the production of their wines, you will taste a selection of wines for yourselves under the tuition of the experienced tour guide.

Foraging and Food

Join us for a afternoon in nature, first foraging and then enjoying some fine food.

Tim will take you around the local area showing you all the bountiful things that are tasty to eat growing in our hedgerows and countryside.

Tims passion for plants and the natural world has followed him through his career in horticulture. Botanising in the west country lead him onto Kew Botanic Garden’s renowned diploma course. After five years cultivating plants in the largest botanic garden in the world, Tim has gained extensive knowledge in foraging, ethnobotany and medicinal plant uses.

Join Holly the wine maker for a welcome wine tasting and amuse bouche. You will get to sample the current vintages and decide which you would like to continue to drink with your food.

Then you will be served a beautiful menu of locally sourced and foraged foods. Three courses lovingly prepared by our fantastic chef Emily. For the last decade Emily has trained in professional kitchens all over the world from taquarias in Mexico to three Michelin starred restaurant Noma in Copenhagen. Drawing on her experiences, Emily’s food is rustic yet refined, that is conscious of it’s environment, feels nourishing and full of joy.

Welcome drinks and paired local drinks included in the price. Limited other drinks available on the night.
