Join us at Daws Hill Vineyard this English Wine Week as we celebrate the remarkable rise of English wine with a series of unique events designed to showcase the very best of our vineyard, our wines, and our local region.
Once considered one of England’s best-kept secrets, English wine is now winning awards on the world stage. Here in the Chilterns, we’re proud to be part of that story. Throughout English Wine Week, we’ll be opening our doors for a collection of special events that offer something for everyone—from relaxed tastings and behind-the-scenes experiences to immersive winemaking workshops.
Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or simply curious to discover what English wine has to offer, we’d love you to join us for a glass (or two) and experience first-hand what makes our wines, our vineyard, and our corner of Buckinghamshire so special.
Friday 19 June – Informal Evening Wine Tasting
Start English Wine Week with a relaxed and sociable evening at the vineyard. Our informal wine tasting is the perfect opportunity to unwind with friends, meet fellow wine lovers, and explore a selection of Daws Hill wines in a welcoming setting.
There are no lectures, no pressure, and no wine knowledge required—just great wine, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discover your new favourite bottle.
Saturday 20 June – Vertical Tasting Experience
Take a fascinating journey through time with our exclusive Vertical Tasting. This unique event allows guests to taste multiple vintages of the same wine side-by-side, exploring how weather, growing conditions, and bottle age influence the character of a wine.
Guided by the Daws Hill team, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of vintage variation and discover why no two years are ever quite the same. A rare opportunity for wine enthusiasts to experience the evolution of English wine in the glass.
Sunday 21 June – Sparkling Wine Making Experience
Ever wondered what happens after the grapes are harvested? This hands-on experience takes you behind the scenes of traditional method sparkling wine production.
You’ll discover how dosage influences flavour and style before creating your own personalised bottle of sparkling wine to take home. Part workshop, part tasting, and part winemaking adventure, this is one of the most unique experiences we offer and provides a fascinating insight into the craft behind every bottle of English fizz.
Saturday 27 June – Taste the Chilterns
Celebrate the incredible food and drink produced on our doorstep with this special tasting event showcasing the flavours of the Chiltern Hills.
Taste a selection of Daws Hill wines alongside carefully selected local produce while learning about the growers, producers, and artisans that make our region so special. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience the connection between local wine, local food, and the landscape that brings them together.
